Trailering - Brake Controllers

A brake controller is an electronic device that activates and controls the electric brakes for  trailer. A brake controller can be roughly split into an interface positioned in the cab within the driver's reach and the central part responsible for activating the trailer's brakes. It is imperative to have a trailer brake controller when towing a trailer that has electric or electric over hydraulic brakes. In most states, an adjustable trailer brake controller is required when the trailer weight is more than 3,00 pounds when loaded.
