Marine Navigation & Instruments - Compasses

A compass is an instrument that is used to tell you what direction you are headed in. A Satellite compass is highly accurate it uses the latest  GPS. When you're picking out a compass for you boat select a compass with the largest diameter that will properly fit your helm or dash. The larger the compass is it is easier to read and the more stable it will be. Even though we live in a world of technology it is always a good idea to have a hand held compass just in case anything goes wrong. Always better to be prepared.
